How to do online RTI- Easy to use but very effective


The Right to Information (RTI) Act has provided city residents a useful tool to fight for your 498a. to prove yourself you need to compile all the evidences. To make the strategies collect as much information from various departments. Like the IT Dept, Police station, Court, Govt offices. The much you use this tool the weaker is your opponent. Only RTI can kneel down her and her family.  By providing access to records and documents of public authorities, it has allowed many 498a victims to fight long-standing cases or to bring certain issues to the notice of authorities


Its very simple. Please see the illustrations and do the things at ease.


1. Open the RTI page : Link : https://rtionline.gov.in/


2. If you are a new user then you have to sign up .For a new user click on “Sign Up here”





3.After signing up, you have to sign in again. after sign in you will be landing to the Home page, as below




4. To start with just click on submit request to enter a new request, then enter submit your request




5. Choose the department you want to get the information. Lets say you need information from Delhi Police. For a RTI to Delhi police enter ‘Delhi Police’ as shown, the page will populate the required fields automatically as shown here.




6.Then you find the Fields auto populated : for ‘Delhi Police’



7. Go down and fill the body of the complaint as shown



8. After submitting RTI you can check the status also. To check the status click on pending as shown :




9. You may as many RTI you wish to. If you want to status of your RTI. Click on the required RTI to see its status as shown :



10. Click on individual RTI to track its status  say you want to know the status  you can click on that. sor example, this is RTI to know the status of Law Commission report 257 for shared parenting which has been forwarded to legislative department)
